The presser foot is higher at its tip so that the fabric can easily be placed under the foot when you start sewing. The presser foot lever can raise the presser foot at two different levels, 8 mm and 10 mm.

UNIQUE PRESS FOOT

Our standard foot for the MCS-1800 is a unique industrial presser foot, a so-called compensated foot. The presser foot is split in two which makes it easy for the presser foot to climb over thick and uneven edges. Just like you first lift one foot, and then the other when you step over a curb - exactly the same way our presser foot works.

Under the presser foot there is a channel that makes it easy when you have to edge sharp curves and that then keeps the edging in place. Be careful that the edging runs directly from the front into the channel - then the presser foot does the work for you!
